How to Apply Heat Press Helmet Stripes to Guardian Caps
How to Apply Heat Press Helmet Stripes to Guardian Caps – Step-by-Step Guide
- Apply Guardian Cap to football helmet.
- Power on your heat press equipment.
- Set the temperature to 285°F and adjust the pressure to medium to firm.
- Each helmet stripe is labeled front to back. Begin by cutting out the front portion of the stripe.
- Remove and discard the clear backing from the stripe piece.
- Apply temporary fabric glue to the area where the stripe will be placed. Position the stripe on the Guardian Cap, ensuring it is straight and properly aligned. Adjust as needed before applying heat.
- Using a handheld heat press at 285°F, gradually apply heat to each portion of the stripe.
- Press firmly for at least 5 seconds across the entire stripe to ensure even adhesion.
- While the stripe is still hot, carefully peel off and discard the clear application tape.
- Smooth out any areas of the stripe that are not fully adhered using the handheld heat press, being careful not to overheat or burn the logo.
- Repeat the process for the remaining stripe pieces. Some stripes may not fully cover the Guardian logo on the front or back, so we recommend not applying those pieces.
- Repeat for any additional Guardian Caps as needed.
