How to Apply Apparel ID Heat Press Labels

How to Apply Apparel ID Heat Press Labels – Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Power on your heat press equipment.
  2. Set the temperature to 285°F and time to 5 Seconds for most materials.
(Note: Temperature and time may vary slightly depending on your equipment and pressure applied.)
  3. Adjust the pressure setting to medium to firm. If using a handheld heat press, firm pressure is recommended.
  4. Prepare the garment by ensuring the area where you’ll be applying the label is clean and flat.
For best results, use a heat press mat under the item or between layers of fabric.
  5. Apply a small amount of temporary fabric glue (approximately the size of the label) to the garment in the desired location.
  6. Peel off the label you want to use from the sheet.
If the cut lines are hard to see, remove the outer edge of the sheet to make peeling and finding the label edge easier.
  7. Position the label over the glued area, smoothing it out to ensure flat adhesion and precise placement.
  8. Press the label using the heat press with the temperature and time settings mentioned above.
  9. Use a damp cloth to gently remove any excess fabric glue around the label, or machine wash the garment, and the glue will wash out.
  10. Repeat the process for any additional items.
