How to Assemble Mini Football Helmets – Step-by-Step Guide

Application Steps

1. Begin by cleaning the entire helmet shell, front bumper, and back bumper with mild soap and water or rubbing alcohol. This removes any dirt, oils, or residue that could prevent decals from sticking properly. Allow the helmet to dry completely before moving to the next step.
2. Position the pre-sized stripe at the front of the helmet and tuck it slightly under the front bumper. Once aligned with the centerline, smooth the stripe over the top of the helmet and continue all the way to the back bumper. The stripe is sized to fit your helmet perfectly and does not need to be trimmed. Press firmly from the center outward to avoid wrinkles or bubbles.
3. Apply the left and right side decals next. Hold the first decal in place to preview the position, making sure it aligns evenly with the ear hole or other landmarks on the helmet. Once satisfied with the placement, press it down firmly from the center outward. Repeat the same process on the opposite side, taking care to match the alignment so both decals look symmetrical.
4. Center the front name strip across the bumper, aligning it by fitting the pre-cut openings around the screw holes. Once positioned correctly, press firmly from one end to the other until the strip is smooth and secure.
5. Center the back name strip on the rear bumper, pressing from one end to the other, and making sure the strip sits level with the edge of the helmet.
6. Take the four plastic facemask clips and slide them onto the facemask in the correct positions. Hold the facemask up to the helmet to make sure it is centered and aligned with the shell openings.
7. With the facemask held in position, insert the screws through each clip and into the helmet’s pre-molded posts. Using a small Phillips screwdriver, tighten the screws until they are snug, but be careful not to overtighten, as this can strip the posts or crack the clips. Once all four clips are secure, check that the facemask sits evenly on both sides.
